The latest from Olympia doesn't sound promising, despite aides to Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels trying to revive the proposal in the waning days of the legislative session. The legislative session is scheduled to close on Sunday. And without the bill's passing -- which would provide funding for KeyArena -- before the end of December 2009, former Sonics owner Clay Bennett will not have to pay the City of Seattle $30 million. It was an agreement made in order to break the current arena lease and move the Sonics to Oklahoma City.
